Associate – Digital & Data | Abu Dhabi | Al Tamimi & Company

Al Tamimi & Company is seeking a high-calibre Associate (2–6 PQE) to join its Digital & Data practice in Abu Dhabi.

This is an opportunity to join a market-leading team advising on complex and evolving matters at the intersection of technology, data, and regulation across the UAE and wider region.

Role Overview
The successful candidate will advise clients on a broad range of digital and data-related legal matters, including data protection, privacy, e-commerce, and digital innovation. The role requires a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape as well as proficiency with corporate contracts.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on digital transformation, data protection, and privacy regulations
• Support clients on compliance with local, regional, and international data laws
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and technology-related agreements
• Conduct research on legal developments in digital commerce, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, IoT)
• Prepare client updates, legal memoranda, and regulatory analyses
• Work closely with clients to deliver practical, commercially focused legal advice
• Collaborate with cross-practice teams, including disputes where required

Candidate Profile

• 2–6 years’ post-qualification experience
• Qualified in a common law jurisdiction
• Experience in TMT, data protection, or commercial technology law
• Prior GCC or Middle East experience preferred
• Strong analytical, drafting, and client management skills

Qualifications

• Law degree from an accredited institution
• Valid bar admission or practicing certificate
